The formation of departments, organizations and organizations related to natural resource management dates back to the late Qajar government. During the reign of Fath Ali Shah around 1202 AH (1243 AH), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was established and after a few ministries of interior, finance and public benefits were established, which also considered natural resources within the responsibilities of the Ministry of Public Works. In 1261 AH (1300 AH) the Dar al-Fonun school was established, which can be considered the first educational institution in a new and modern way. Part of the content included teaching plants, animals, and geography up to the high school level. "The establishment of the Academy of Arts was the new beginning of the country in the field of agriculture and natural resources" After this, at present, the Department of Natural Resources and Watershed Management is active in all provinces of the country.
